As the Lead UI/UX Designer at Prompt BI, I had the opportunity to bring Prompt BI to life - a space where users can easily upload, manage, and analyze data, whether it's a simple Excel sheet or a large-scale enterprise database.
This platform wasn’t just about visual polish - it was about helping people make sense of their data, fast. From freelancers uploading CSVs to enterprise teams working with BigQuery, the experience had to feel seamless and smart, no matter the data source.
The Challenge – Start Simple, Scale Seamlessly
When building Prompt BI, the goal was clear
Let people bring their data from anywhere, clean or messy, and get insights in minutes
That meant supporting both
File-based uploads like CSV and Excel (perfect for individuals and startups)
Direct connections to enterprise databases like BigQuery, PostgreSQL, and MySQL

The experience starts with uploading or connecting your data. Simple as that
Once a file is added or a database is connected, Prompt BI immediately
Auto-generates an editable overview
Flags missing values or data issues
Detects table relationships
Previews the data with column names, types, and sample rows
